Great improvement!
The increased size made fitting pieces in small territories much easier if still a squeeze. The integrated IPC and research trackers was also very handy. The board being one piece made Europe way better because there wasn’t a divide between boards that slides in the middle of it. The material also makes it so the mat doesn’t slide on your table and the pieces don’t slide on the mat. I would highly recommend this to anyone with anniversary edition.

Great upgrade for a great edition
Okay, so the Anniversary Edition board really doesn't need an upgrade. Just don't bump the boards. That said, this is a great upgrade for this edition (and I've already played a couple of games on it). Adding a built-in IPC tracker, adding a technology upgrade tracker, and making the map all one piece are great ways to improve this version's board. Well done.

It’s so worth it.
The map is great. Getting rid of the 2 divides on the map was so nice cause it doesn’t slide around anymore. The extra space also makes it easier to fit units into a territory. The bottom of the mat is rubbery so it doesn’t slide around the table at all. The top fabric is a little grippier so the pieces stay where you want them better. It also adds in a counter for IPC income and research, which is nice. If you own axis and Allies anniversary you need to get this.

Deluxe Anniversary Map
Great print quality, size, and feel. More room for your pieces on the normally congested Eastern European theater. Easier to visually discern borders.

Map hold well on the table. Countries are marked well. Material is easy to clean, I have a 2 year old daughter lol.

Axis & Allies Anniversary Edition Deluxe Map
I really like it. It's much larger than the original game board, so make sure you a table large enough. It's high quality with a rubber back so it won't slide on your gaming table. No more worrying about hitting the board and watching all of the pieces scatter. The larger size allows for more units to fit in a region without knocking over other units when you reach for them. In some cases I'll still use separate army/fleet boards and markers. I think the price is pretty good compared to other game mats. I highly recommend it.
