This year was the first Heroscape World Championship Event at Gen Con! Over 100 players came together from all over to battle it out in this premier-level event, including over 50 people who won their local Store Championship event who traveled to the show to compete.

Congratulations to Nick Elder for becoming the 2025 Heroscape World Champion! Fans can look forward to an original Heroscape character with a familiar-sounding name in the coming years.

An exciting variety of units were present in the tournament, especially in the top 32. The most recent Boiling Tension arc of releases has widened the meta in exciting ways.

• • • Scavorith, Lord of Ruin has made the Eisenek into a formidable force, appearing in 2 of the top 4 armies.
    • Revnan Acolytes add a bit of extra punch and survivability to Revna Hero armies
    • Tanuki Tricksters have proven to be a resilient army core that rewards high-level strategic play. 

Queen Maladrix from Spring's Rising Tide arc continued her strong showing, having won both the Adepticon Championship and now the World Championship.

Shoutout to Head Judge and Heroscape community staple Ken Williams for running an amazing tournament.
