MEET DESIREE, OUR VIDEO PRODUCTION MANAGER

Posted by Renegade Games on Mar 15th 2021

Today we continue our series on the women that make Renegade tick. Desiree is the person responsible for all the great video and streaming content we produce!

What is your role at Renegade?

Desiree: I am the Video Production Manager. Producing overviews, interviews and playthroughs to generate awareness and excitement for the company’s catalog of titles.

How long have you been with the company?

Desiree: I am going on my 2nd year here at Renegade. I was actually already working in the board game industry and my husband actually let me know that Renegade was looking for a part-time video editor. I thought it sounded fun to work with the the types of board games that Renegade represented, so I decided to put in my resume. That same year, they decided to bring me on full-time and I was delighted to work on more of their streaming content as well.

What is your favorite thing about working in the tabletop industry?

Desiree: Working in the tabletop industry has led me to meeting awesome people, the talent and guests I get to work with really make the work so fun. I often have to find a new approach to each project at Renegade because each game is so different. How I create a video for one game might not work for another and it is fun learning.

What is your favorite board game?

Desiree: My favorite Renegade Game would probably be Clank! It is always a fun game night and I just love the expansions that they have created for this game.

What is your favorite thing to do when you aren't making or playing board games?

Desiree: When I am not playing board games, I love to train my corgi, bake and make cool diy crafts!

Do you have any advice for people that want to get into the industry?

Desiree: Keep creating, play games and make friends and get to know people in the industry. Who knows when they might need your expertise?
