This past weekend, Nottingham played host to the third annual Orbtoberfest, itself a celebration of five years of The Dark Orb on YouTube. Each year, players are treated to narrative roleplay in the realms of sci-fi, horror, and all things spooky!

Previous years have seen players of the Transformers RPG battle red rust, the hate plague, and a weaponised Enigma of Combination. However, this year players were forced to battle amnesia whilst saving their valuable research from the clutches of the Decepticons, all whilst trying to escape the clutches of a horrific Sparkeater! Roleplayers in the UK should keep their eyes peeled on The Dark Orb and Nottingham when Orbtoberfest returns Oct 17th, 2026.
