A Good Short Adventure
Last Dance at Renaulds is one-part "Clue", one part "Weekend at Bernies", and it can be an intriguing game of deductions and secret agendas, or a silly game of juggling guests and entertainment, all depending on your players. The game can take approximately 4 hours to run depending on play style, and it plays best as a one-shot on a single sitting. Some things to keep in mind: 1: it is a little dense in characters for a one-shot, and there is no artwork to speak of, so players may have a hard time following all the parties unless you provide some visual cues, or prune some characters on each playthrough. 2: It leans a lot on Social Combat, with very little physical combat unless the players or the ST nudge it that way. This is not really a bad thing, but it might take some players by surprise. 3: It provides some tools for the ST to have the story play out differently each time, giving the story some variety on different sittings. All in all, this is a pretty good short adventure, and with some tweaking from the ST it can be a good one shot to run for first timers or seasoned players alike.
