A Triumphant Return at Gen Con 2024!

In August 2024, Heroscape made its grand return at Gen Con, where hundreds of enthusiastic players descended on Indianapolis to participate in the first official Heroscape Organized Play events. From learn-to-play sessions to the 20th Anniversary Heroscape Celebration, the convention was packed with fans showcasing their favorite armies and sharing their passion for the game.

The highlight? Chris Perkins claimed victory in the largest recorded Heroscape tournament to date, earning a coveted bye into Day Two of the 2025 Heroscape World Championship.

Expanding to Local Game Stores...

Heroscape Organized Play quickly moved beyond conventions, finding a home in over five hundred Friendly Local Game Stores worldwide!

Friendly Local Game Stores in the Heroscape Battle Network ran events with prize support kits, offering early access to new Heroscape figures. September’s Heroscape Launch Tournament featured the premium-painted Einar ninja, Shiori, as a prize, followed by October’s Heroscape Day, which celebrated with Cornelius Breech, the Derelict Prince.

Plus, starting in September, free monthly scenarios introduced fresh twists and challenges, inviting players to battle it out with friends at home or in local tournaments.

What’s Next for 2025?

The excitement of 2024 was just the beginning. Here’s what’s in store for 2025:

• Free Monthly Scenarios
  • Free scenarios will continue throughout the year, offering new ways to battle each month.
• New Prize Support Kits
  • Kits for approved Heroscape Battle Network events will feature new figures every few months.
  • Prize kits are available to event organizers for three months before those figures become available for purchase.
  • The Launch Party kit with Shiori and the Heroscape Day kit with Cornelius Breech will be available until January 31, 2025.
  • Look for Shiori and Cornelius Breech to go on sale at the February 2025 Renegade Con.
  • The first 2025 prize kit, featuring an unpainted Thyraxis Dragoon, is available for preorder now and will be ready for events starting February 12.

• Store Championship Events
  • Exclusive prizes only found at these premier level events
  • Store Championships will kick off in May 2025. More details to come during the February 2025 Renegade Con, including an initial calendar of stores you can compete at and a preview of prizes.

  • Exclusive prizes only found at these premier level events

• 2025 World Championship
  • At Gen Con 2025, we’ll host the first official World Championship for Heroscape.
  • Over 10 unique prizes for various tiers of placement, which will all be revealed during the February Renegade Con.

Organized Play Structure

Heroscape Organized Play is divided into two tiers:

• Relaxed: Casual play events, perfect for learning and enjoying the game.
• Premier: Competitive events like Store Championships, Valkyrie Trials, and the World Championship.

To date, all events have been Relaxed, but 2025 marks the start of Premier and Championship tiers. For more details on Organized Play structure and tournament tiers, check the Heroscape Floor Rules.
