We’re launching a Diplomacy circuit event designed to recognize the best player in North America over the entire year. Just like Formula One, success isn’t only about finishing first. We’re searching for someone who demonstrates consistent excellence across many events.
How it Works
The North American Grand Prix spans multiple face-to-face Diplomacy events for an entire year.
Players earn Grand Prix points based on performance at each approved event. Points accumulate for the calendar year and are tracked on a leaderboard.
At year’s end, the top point earned is the North American Grand Prix Champion!
Grand Prix Points
At each participating tournament, players earn points based on final placement:
1st: 25 points
2nd: 18 points
3rd: 15 points
4th: 12 points
5th: 10 points
6th: 8 points
7th: 6 points
All Other Results: 1 point
All points count toward the final total.
What Makes the Grand Prix Special
Consistency is rewarded over time. You don’t need to win every tournament to become a Grand Prix champion.
Encourages travel across North America to play with new competitors and experience new events.
Fun awards and prizes for participants at each event
Grand Prix Champion
Recognized as the North American Grand Prix champion for the year.
Awarded a championship plaque recognizing the accomplishment.
Gifted a “Stay & Play” package to compete at the next National Diplomacy Masters event at the World Series of Board Gaming in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 2026 champion will have a special bonus because the World Series of Board Gaming is hosting the 2027 World Diplomacy Championship!
