Wondering if The Search for Lost Species' companion app will be ready by the time the Kickstarter fulfills in May? No need to wonder, it's already avaialble for download! Head on over to your app store of choice (iOS, Android) and you can try it out, and be ready to play as soon as your copy arrives!
Kickstarter backers will recieve their games MONTHS before the retail release at GenCon, so sign up to be notified when the campaign begins next week!
Created by our talented friends over at Bezier Games, the Search for Lost Species app provides the clues you'll use to deduce the location of the Lost Species, and helps you track and organize all that information! We'll be continuing to update and add functionality to the app between now and the release!
After the app loads you'll be greeted with this screen to choose your Lost Species and map.
The next screen gives the game code to share with other players. Each player will be able to adjust their view of the map to match the angle they are viewing it from!
AFter choosing your difficulty (each player chooses their own, so the game easily accomodates players of different skill or experience levels), you'll receieve your starting information, which you can note on your player sheet.
Now that the game has begun, you'll use this screen to pick your actions and gather new bits of info as you go. Lets pick "Survey by Boat" as our first action!
PIck the areas you want to survey, and the animal you're checking for, and the app will let you know how many of that animal there are in the area!
Next, try visiting a town. Town visits will give you information about an animal you pick, and let you pick a powerful Town Card from the ones available on the table.
If you ever need to double-check or verify information, the "History" button shows you all actions you've taken and you can click each entry to get the info again. Feel free to check your work!
