Overall Review
The books content, design, and quality are great, I'd of given it five stars but it arrived damaged which lowers the score. My only suggestion would be to add corner protectors in the packing of the books to protect them a little better. Beyond that the system is easy to understand and the layout is easy to follow.

Completely happy with this. The game has been made perfectly. The Essence20 system is wonderful. It holds true to everything wonderful about G.I Joe, the artwork is absolutely beautiful, the lore is excellent. a few spelling errors but it's not enough of an issue to smudge my review.

Nostalgia done right!
The Essence 20 system is very wisely implemented here, creating a quick paced and accessible RPG that closely mimics that feeling of the old 80’s cartoons. The attention to detail for the lore is very high and had me imagining my own childhood Joe collection (long since gone). The only thing that keeps this from being a 5 out of 5 is I would like there to be a little more crunch for the cost, but what is there is excellent!
