Our publishing partnership with White Wolf will be wrapping up at the end of 2026.

Starting in 2027, White Wolf will be bringing World of Darkness tabletop RPG development and publishing in-house.

We’ll continue supporting World of Darkness through the rest of 2026 and working closely with the White Wolf team to make the transition as smooth as possible.

This marks the end of an important chapter for both of our teams, and one we’re very proud of. Together, we’ve had the opportunity to work on Vampire: The Masquerade, Werewolf: The Apocalypse, Hunter: The Reckoning, and other World of Darkness projects with an incredibly talented group of writers, designers, artists, developers, and partners.

Most of all, we’re grateful to everyone in the community who has played these games, shared them, talked about them, and supported them over the years. Thank you for being part of this chapter with us.

We wish the White Wolf team all the best with what comes next, and we hope you’ll continue to join us for the other games and worlds we’re working on.

World of Darkness FAQ

Why is the partnership ending?

A: We've decided to conclude our partnership with White Wolf, so they will be bringing World of Darkness tabletop RPG development and publishing in-house. We’re working closely together to make that transition as smooth as possible through the end of 2026.

Is there any bad blood between Renegade and White Wolf?

A: None at all. We’re proud of what we accomplished together and wish the White Wolf team all the best with what comes next.

Does this mean Renegade is completely done with World of Darkness after 2026?

A: Yes. Beginning in 2027, White Wolf will take over development, publishing, and ongoing support for the World of Darkness tabletop RPGs.

What exactly does “supporting World of Darkness through the rest of 2026” mean?

A: Through the end of 2026, we’ll continue offering World of Darkness titles through our webstore and providing customer and community support as usual.

Are any announced products being cancelled?

A: No. All currently announced Renegade World of Darkness titles are still planned for release.

Will Renegade continue selling existing World of Darkness books after 2026?

A: No. Renegade will no longer sell World of Darkness titles after the end of 2026.

How long will existing books remain available from Renegade?

A: World of Darkness titles will remain available from Renegade through the end of 2026, while supplies last.

Will PDFs and digital products purchased through Renegade remain accessible?

A: Previously purchased World of Darkness PDFs will remain accessible through customers’ existing order history on their Renegade webstore accounts. However, these products will no longer be publicly visible or available for new purchase on the webstore.

Will there be any final Renegade World of Darkness releases before the partnership ends?

A: Yes – Vampire: The Masquerade Courts of the Damned and Werewolf: The Apocalypse Tribes of Gaia both release in October 2026.

What happens to organized play, convention games, community programs, or other support?

A: Renegade will continue supporting these programs through the end of 2026. Beginning in 2027, ongoing World of Darkness community and tabletop RPG support will transition to White Wolf.

Will White Wolf continue the same editions of Vampire, Werewolf, Hunter, etc., or are new editions/revisions coming?

A: White Wolf will be sharing information about their plans for World of Darkness going forward, so we recommend reaching out to them directly for details.

Will White Wolf reprint Renegade-developed books?

A: That will be up to White Wolf as part of their plans for the line going forward. We recommend reaching out to them directly for more information.
