We had an AMAZING Gen Con this year! This was by far our biggest and best showing to date, so make sure to read about everything we got up to below and stay tuned for more Dungeon Crawler Carl Gen Con coverage in the coming weeks! 

Our booth was the place to be! Our space was constantly full with people excited to purchase some new Renegade titles, including early copies of select Dungeon Crawler Carl accessories, the new Heroscape: Secrets of the Citadel titles, the EXODUS Traveler's Handbook and Creature Catalog, and more!

We also hosted demos at the booth of some of our most popular games: Heroscape, Lords of Waterdeep, Unstoppable, Robo Rally Dice, Naishi, and Sea Scroll.

Matt Dinniman and Jeff Hays joined us for the show! It was Matt's first Gen Con, and he told us he had an amazing time.

There was also a life-sized statue of Carl, Samantha, and Donut on the booth!

Friday night we had a sold-out 1,000-seat Dungeon Crawler Carl live play! Thanks to Travis McElroy, Mayanna Berrin, Xander Jeanneret, Taylor Robinson, and Colby Poulson for joining Matt and Jeff on their first Dungeon Crawl.

We also gathered about 2,000 Crawlers for an ENOURMOUS photo op over at Victory Field. Can you find yourself in the group pic?

The winner for 'Wildest Thing Signed' this weekend was this puppet Samantha head! There were actually a few variations of Samantha heads, but we thought it was funny that this one got a tattoo. 

We had a sold-out Q&A Panel, that ended with Jeff doing a reading of one of a scene from the book.

We also had a sold-out Crawler Chaos Creation panel to walk through the 10 steps of making your own Crawler in the RPG.

The fun didn't stop when the hall closed, either! For two nights, we had an awesome B-B-B-BOSS BATTLE with narration from Jeff Hays!

 We even had a few opportunities to play the RPG at Gen Con, including special VIP games with Matt and Jeff! Everyone had a blast, and we can't wait to share the full game with you on November 23rd. You can pre-order here!

Besides the Dungeon Crawler Carl RPG, we also had events for the upcoming EXODUS RPG, Transformers 2nd Edition RPG, and the G.I. JOE 2nd Edition RPG.

The 2026 Heroscape World Championships played out in spectacular fashion, with over 150 players over three days of fierce competition! 

In the end, the World Championships were won by Al Bot, whose army featured new releases like Gimbal and Nishi Souta, triumphing over a host of Cobra-Destro-Serpentor armies in the Top 32! Both Al Bot, as well as 2025 World Championship winner NicktheAnt, have recieved jewel-encrusted World Championship rings, crystal trophies, and the promise to make them into a future Heroscape character.

The World Championship wasn't the only Heroscape event taking place! Players were busy all week on the 2v2 Multiplayer Battle Scenario and learn-to-play Battle Box events!

Tables were packed for the Heroscape Paint-and-Takes, with new or returning painters styling up a Nishi Souta, Agent SI-4X, or 'Blink' Dawson! Painters submitted their best paint-and-take figure to a display case, where the winner each evening won a full Heroscape paint set.

A highlight for fans and Renegade employees alike was the Heroscape Bounty event, where players faced off against Renegade staff armed with super-powered armies and game-breaking special rules! Many bounties were collected this year by skilled players, who walked away with full sets of the Heroscape Bounty event cards as well as a gold foil 'bounty collected' stamp on the card of the staff member they managed to defeat.

Our friends at Rogue Judges hosted Diplomacy events at the show! This included a Diplomacy Tournament and introduction events for Diplomacy, Era of Empire, and The Golden Blade Card Game.

On Saturday, Rogue Judges also hosted an Acquire Tournament ...

...AND a Robo Rally Tournament!

And our friends at Smorey Swamp spent the weekend hosting Axis & Allies events, including learn-to-plays and the World Championship!
