Legends of the Undead
The first vampires remember their first nights, but do not speak of them. Others have heard tales, but know better than to believe them. The wise speak of The Book of Nod, but none have seen this fabled book of ancient lore.
These are their tales...
Their stories begin with the Chronicle of Caine and the earliest nights of the vampire. The Chronicle of Shadow reveals Caine's hidden teachings. Finally, the Chronicle of Secrets unveils the deepest mysteries of the Damned, including the coming dread of Gehenna.
The Book of Nod is a collection of mythic texts for use in the Vampire the Masquerade Roleplaying Game.
Presented as an epic poem, the Book of Nod is an in-game resource, viewed as sacred by Noddist scholars and most vampire elders, especially of the Sabbat. Rather than a book of game mechanics, this book can be used as a prop and for lore, as it outlines the genesis of vampires with the mythology of Caine.

An amazing collection of props and source material
The amount of lore and usable props available in this is fairly amazing. While the word immersive is often overused these days, that was my experience of digging through the crate to find the next item and reading through the next document or examining the next scrap of material. The book of Nod Apocrypha that comes with it is a great jumping off point for how to incorporate these props into your game if you're unsure. I would love to see more deluxe lore products like this.

Worth the Wait
Pretty much everyone knows the ordeal those of us who pre-ordered this went through while waiting nearly three years for it to finally get released...with that out of the way, was it worth it? YES!!! The leather covered manuscript version of the book is awesome. The add ons cover many of the fragments that were scattered across many books and editions. The relics are exquisite. The skull is a bit oversized but perhaps that Cainite was a giant, lol. The many scrolls are quite cool too (though very hard to flatten out, lol). The clay tablet is a bit disappointing as the original image showed a plain tablet covered in writing, the one that they went with is purely pictorial (plain writing could have been used as a prop for just about anything, while the pictorial one is pretty much limited to the story of Cain and Abel). The crate itself is practically a piece of furniture all by itself, and the mailing label on it suggesting it was sent to the original offices of White Wolf Game Studios is a fantastic Easter Egg.

Amazing
Ok, we all know just how long this took to get into our hands. I'm glad to say when it arrived it was worth the wait. The crate is cool, though not quite as weathered as in the original photos. With a great Easter egg in the form of the address label suggesting it was sent to the original White Wolf studios. The contents are great, the notebook version is great, it has a hand written look and features the footnotes on the same pages as the passages. The various scrolls and papers are arranged nicely. The clay tablet looks a lot different from the cuneiform preview: but it's entirely pictoral instead. The other artifacts are well done (the skull is a bit big, but hey it might have been a vampire with Huge Size, lol). The little pendant is awesome. Overall though it's a huge investment, it has worthwhile items if you want to center some Chronicles around Noddist lore and artifacts.

VAMPIRE: THE MASQUERADE 5TH EDITION THE BOOK OF NOD DELUXE ARTIFACT EDITION
The amount of AWESOME surprises that are contained in this box is mind blowing. The props are top notch and aren't made of cheap plastics or 3D printing. Great care was put into this collection. I've had it a couple weeks and still have not read through everything. I highly recommend buying this if you can, I know the price is high, but you will not be sorry if you splurge a little. Your gaming friends will thank you.

Truly Spectacular
It’s been a long wait but it was worth it. The wooden box was really unexpected but very welcome. It has a nice finish and a little wear that makes it look as if it’s travelled. Nice storage solution that should hold up through the years. Inside, the crate is filled with brown shredded paper. Great packing material and it’s environmentally friendly. Fun to dig through as well. Numerous envelopes and cardboard boxes are to be found inside. Very little plastic is used, just enough to keep things dry, and I like that. Each box also has a bit of the paper inside to keep things safe. It’s all very easy to repack once you’re done and doesn’t jostle around. My family checked. We jostled it. Materials used are high quality all around. Leather scroll case is lovely and the scrolls themselves look amazing. Beautiful prints and textile papers. Aristotle’s journal looks handwritten and is printed on really nice stock. The leather binding and wrap is also very nice. Proverbs are fun and also on a nice stock. All of the various notes and other articles maintain a consistent high quality of both printing and paper used. The statuettes are a nice, custom sculpt and have a nice weight to them. The skull is proportionately sized with a good paint job. Definitely nicer than something you would find in a Halloween prop store. Pendant is plastic, well detailed, and strung on a leather cord. The art prints are wild. There are so many of them and it’s a real treat to see them all at this size. You could really frame them and get some very nice wall art for your game room (or any room if you’re like me) if you wanted to. Nice stock used as well should help them to last through the years. Very impressive product overall. Anyone I show it to is blown away. The only suggestion I have is more of a request: I would totally buy a pre-written campaign that used these props and documents. Please write one!

Your best Book of Nod!
First off, this is a BIG collection, and I don't just mean the furniture-size crate. Aristotle deLaurent's manuscript, his collection of photos, the art and documents and proverbs all come together to make for an amazing set of Noddist lore, but add in the stone tablet, the scroll case texts, the statues (so impressive!) and the rest? I feel like $300 is a steal for this! A must-have for any serious scholar of the history of the Damned.
