Heroscape Age of Annihilation Starter Bundle

As an alternate to the actual starter set, this is a great intro to the game. Not only is there a great Battle Box to start with, the addition of the Kyrie warriors and Sgt Drake make it a fantastic bargain. Yes, only Sgt Drake is painted, the rest are unpainted, but it's still a great bargain and fantastic intro to the game...or in my case, reintroduction.

I haven't tried real Heroscape games in the past, but I did own the Magic: the Gathering themed sets, the more I read about the world of Heroscape as well as the wargame, I was ready to dive in. This set, in particular this bundle, is a fantastic way to start. The Battle for the wellspring boxed set is a great smaller starter set, lots included, a decent selection of forces, and quite a lot of potential for map building. The Kyrie set has some great characters for even more options, lastly the Sgt Drake promo is just a nice little addition. The two boxed sets are unpainted (in case you were unsure) but Sgt Drake is painted. Game play is pretty straightforward, especially if you just stick with basic rules, but the 'master' rules are still pretty simple.

I’ve been playing Heroscape almost my entire life so far and I am very happy to finally be getting some new sets. This bundle is an amazing deal and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who is looking to start their Heroscape collection or expand it for a stellar price. The new terrain and figures are an amazing upgrade from the old sets and I am very happy to see Sgt. Drake back as he is one of the best figures to have for any game.
