Gen Con with Renegade - Your Roadmap!

Gen Con is just around the corner! We've got a ton of awesome events planned that you won't want to miss out on!

This blog will update daily through this week, to provide a roadmap on how to get involved with all things Renegade at Gen Con this year!

Wednesday is where it all begins!

If you pre-ordered any games for Gen Con, you can come grab your games before the convention even starts in Room 139, during our Pre-order Pick-up, 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM! If you can't make it then, pre-order pickup is also available anytime Room 139 is open!

Plus, you can pick up your Renegade Passport at this time as well! This will be your key into one of our highlight events later in the week: The Community Bash!! The Renegade Passport will also available for pick-up anytime the exhibit hall is open.

Thursday is where the gaming begins! You can come visit us at Booth 2309 throughout the week!

Starting Thursday, we'll have game demos running every day through the entire week in Room 139! Both open demos and ticketed Learn-to-Plays are available! The following games will be available for demo:

We’ll have ticketed roleplaying game events running for Hunter: The Reckoning, Vampire: The Masquerade, G.I. JOE Roleplaying Game, Power Rangers Roleplaying Game, and the upcoming Transformers Roleplaying Game and My Little Pony Roleplaying Game!

For fans of our deck-builders, we’ll have ticketed events going on Thursday for some of those games too!

The Power Rangers Deck-Building Game Head to Head Challenge will start at 12 PM in Hall D! The heroes will take on the villains, and the winning side will secure a new resource for their faction! All attendees will take home the prize, but the competition will be fierce! Be the first to get new promos, and a set of acrylic player order tokens for participating!

The Transformers Deck-Building Game Head to Head Challenge will start at 5 PM in Hall D! The Autobots will take on the Decepticons, and the winning side will secure a new resource for their faction! All attendees will take home the prize, but the competition will be fierce! Be the first to get a brand new promo card for participating!

Fans of Vampire: The Masquerade Rivals will rejoice to hear that we’ll have tournaments running daily through the week in Hall D!

Thursday's tournament event will be the Vampire: The Masquerade Rivals Intro Tournament, 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM in Hall D! All you'll need are any of the pre-constructed decks from the Vampire: The Masquerade Rivals core set or expansions! Come on down to compete with other new players in this introductory event!

And now for the part we’ve all been waiting for… The first two Renegade SPECIAL EVENTS!

Have you ever wanted to meet the designer behind your favorite game? Perhaps speak with Jonathan Ying himself about who the coolest Ranger is? Or pick Bryan C.P. Steele's brain for golden eggs of RPG knowledge? Now you can! Join us for the Game Night with Renegade special event in Room 139, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM!

Don’t worry RPG fans, we’ve got you covered too! The RPG Staff Meet & Greet special event will be running at the same time, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM, in Room 138! The best part is, Room 138 is right next door to Room 139! Guests are encouraged to bounce between both events to meet all of the awesome people who are involved with their favorite games!

Get ready for fierce competition! Friday’s Vampire: The Masquerade Rivals event will be The North American Continental Conclave! Compete against players and Princes from around the worl! This tournament will be played with a set of alternate events for the City Deck. These events are all things taking place during the Conclave, and will mix up gameplay in new and exciting ways!

The top 16 will continue on to Saturday’s event. However, all participants will receive prizes just for playing!

We will have two more special events Friday evening!

Those with a knack for miniature painting, or those who would like to give it a try and learn, will enjoy our Paint and Take Art Night event in Room 139, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. You can meet the artists responsible for some of the beautiful art featured in many of our games! Then you’ll get to paint G.I. JOE Mission Critical miniatures with expert guidance! Plus, you get to take your finished product home to show off to your friends!

Right next door, the Hunter: The Reckoning Release Party will be running from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM! This event will be hosted in Room 138, which will have been transformed into an immersive World of Darkness club atmosphere! Join us in The Serpents Club to celebrate Hunter and meet fellow fans of Darkness! We’ll have an art gallery on display with canvas prints of some of the best art from the core book. PLUS, you’ll get the opportunity to take some of those prints home with you!

Things just get better and better! Saturday is our biggest day yet!

Saturday will feature TWO Vampire: The Masquerade Rivals events!

The North American Continental Conclave Top 16 will run from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM in Hall D, and will feature the top 16 competitors from Friday’s tournament! They will face off to determine a final victor!

The Vampire: The Masquerade Rivals Head to Head Challenge will begin thereafter, running from 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM in Hall D! This event will offer a change of pace to those who have already been competing, providing a new opportunity to show off your skills in a 1v1 style tournament!

For fans of our deck-builders, we’ll have more ticketed events available Saturday!

The My Little Pony Deck-Building Game Best Friends Challenge begins at 11 AM in Hall D! Earn achievements and bonus assistance from the ponies as you play this challenging cooperative game in an exciting new way! All participants will receive a plastic, UV-spot-glossed Ponyville Town Square and acrylic Cloud tokens for playing!

The G.I. JOE Deck-Building Game Cobra Challenge will begin at 2 PM in Hall D! Play with new and challenging twists! Earn achievements and bonus assistance from JOE Command as you play this challenging cooperative game in an exciting new way! All participants will receive a beautiful G.I. JOE Deck-Building Game Challenge Coin/End of Round Token!

And now it’s time for our final two special events for the week! You know what they say…save the best for last!

Have you ever wanted to literally step into the World of Darkness with your own two feet? Well, now you can! We will be hosting a LARP Experience with By Night Studios in Room 138 (The Serpents Club). Step into the World of Darkness in a way that you never have before! Join us from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM for a night of immersion that you won’t soon forget!

And now, for our feature event: The Renegade Community Bash in Room 139, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM!! This event is all about rewarding our community members for being the BEST tabletop community on the planet. Come enjoy a game night with fellow community members, hang out with Renegade Staff, get free exclusive goodies, and win one-of-a-kind prizes from the giveaway drawings!

Bring your Renegade Passport and show at least one stamp for entry into the event!

I don't have a Renegade Passport! Where can I get one?

Grab your Passport from a Renegade staff member at our main booth!
Visit each of the five Renegade locations, and present your Passport to a staff member to obtain that location's unique stamp!
Only one stamp is required for entry into the Community Bash, but extra stamps will get you additional giveaway tickets!

And with that, your Gen Con experience with Renegade will come to an end… until next year!
