Organized Play Official Documents Now Live!
Hello Heroscape players, this is Trevor and I’m back with more Organized Play goodies to share. In case you missed my last blog here, I went over some figure point changes and revealed the maps for the premade events at Gen Con. We’re right on top of Gen Con (August 1-4) and one week closer to local Heroscape tournaments (Heroscape tournaments start on September 6) happening around the world with the Heroscape Launch Tournaments. Next week we roll out the first features for the Heroscape Battle Network. Players will be able to create their accounts, approved Event Organizers will be able to start listing their events for September and beyond, and new retailers can apply to be an approved Event Organizer.
Before official Heroscape tournaments start we have a few documents we want to share to help players, judges, and organizers understand all of the ins and outs necessary to play in, run, or organize Heroscape tournaments.
1. Heroscape: Age of Annihilation All Time Format FAQ and Errata
This document serves as the Comprehensive Rules for Heroscape.
2. Heroscape Tournament Floor Rules
This document provides the necessary information on how to play, judge, or manage Heroscape tournaments.
Both of these documents will be updated regularly and new versions will supersede any previous versions. In cases of conflicts - the Heroscape Tournament Floor Rules supersedes the All Time Format FAQ and Errata document and both Heroscape Tournament Floor Rules and All Time Format FAQ and Errata document supersede the Heroscape Rulebook.
Gen Con Glyph Pool
It’s not just the nuts and bolts documents needed to play in and run Heroscape tournaments, it’s time to show off the glyph pool for Gen Con. The glyph pool for these events will be the following. Before each game, the glyphs should be randomized and one should be placed power up on each glyph spot on the map. Remaining glyphs should be set aside.
Dagmar (Initiative)
When you roll for Initiative, add 8 to your die roll.
Rannveig (Wind)
All figures with the Flying Special Power lose this power and cannot Fly while a figure is standing on the Glyph of Rannveig.
Yadulkia (Disengage)
Your figures are never attacked when leaving an engagement.
Haukeland (Healing)
When one of your figures stops here, you may remove up to 3 Wound Markers from across any of your Army Cards.
Quillivon (Sudden Movement)
Choose up to 3 of your figures other than the one on this Glyph. You may move each of the chosen figures up to 5 spaces.
Check back next week for information about the start of the Heroscape Battle Network. I hope to see many of you at Gen Con in two weeks, and if not, hopefully at an event in the future. You can also find me on the Renegade Game Studios Discord.
